Straight out of Trenton, NJ, Money First and Rare Breed Entertainment present the Credit Union album from Boom Blake and Genrokka. They’ve taken some time cultivating what they feel is a classic, and it’s some shit I feel like cats can ride to. Beats come from the likes of Ill Kayn, Divine Drummah, Quest The God, Sinitus Tempo and more. They go in on a number of tracks that speak to the streets today, but a lot of the sample work digs back into those vintage Soul sounds that you grew up hearing Saturday morning while moms was cleaning up your crib, and includes the heartfelt ode “Black Woman”, which leaked late 2010. Look out for both Boom and his Money First crew, as well as Genrokka, as both are poised to keep pushin’ in 2011.
